A “virtual recording”, Luquado teamed up with others on a message board to record this jazz track. Luquado provided the piano, synth bass, and synth choir base, then the other members (Duke Chin on drums, robotic nat on tenor sax, and Floodixor on glitch) recorded their instruments and sent them to Luquado to mix and master.
A re-envisioning of the inspiring “Anthem” from 1998's Studies In Electronica, this recording provided the musical backdrop for a modern dance piece at The University Of Akron choreographed by Jen Arvay.
Another never-released series of tracks in Pts. 1 and 2 of Bruised Utopia. Originally intended for some kind of concept series of singles, they are both released here for the first time.
POPULAR The most-downloaded single on the old Luquado site, Cruel Summer has been downloaded tens of thousands of times and remains to this day Luquado's most popular release. From a week in 2003 when Luquado released 3 remixes.
Winner of a friendly contest where the theme was to write a 2-minute-or-less score of a photograph or painting. The prompt was a painting of a sousaphone player and a theremin player making happy music. The choice was to treat it like a tongue-in-cheek recital piece. In lieu of a real theremin, a synthesized instrument based off of a sine wave was used, and a hilariously awful synth tuba was used in place of any decent sousaphone instrument.
POPULAR The second most popular Luquado track to date is this chill remix of Madonna's hit Frozen, released during remix week 2003.
Originally appearing on 1999's Studies In Electronica, this haunting and melancholy piece features a sparkling synthesizer pad and a soaring arrangement.
The first remix Luquado ever produced, released during remix week 2003.
Very similar to the album version of Love off of At Odds At Times, this Tiny Bug Alternate Master version features a slightly different master, longer introduction, and tweaked mix.
Two spec pieces written for film work and also writing exercises pushing Propellerheads' Reason to its limits.
Whipped up in a single night using Propellerheads Reason for a quickie “write something in a theme” topic on a music message board.
Written for a friendly contest where the theme was to write a 2-minute-or-less score of a a photograph or painting. The picture was a frenetic, motion-blurred image of someone jumping off of a wall.
